This month there are lots of flora and fauna springing to life. At Thorp Perrow arboretum at Bedale, North Yorkshire the daffodils were a couple of weeks late but just now the place is positively carpeted with them.

I found this colourful scene at RHS Harlow Carr near Harrogate. I don’t know what the flower is and I don’t know what the insect was, I just know it caught my eye.
